About Us
EnergyCraft is the creation of Simon Phillips, who originally was a qualified and practising electrician working in the domestic sector. After buying his first boat, this is where it all begins.
Cruising the cut, he experienced the surprisingly frequent call for aid by other river users for electrical assistance, once they found out about his electrical knowledge. Word spread and after sitting his marine electrical certificate, EnergyCraft was born. Eight years later, here we are.
The biggest problem that we all face as boaters, is finding a reliable, knowledgeable and approachable electrician to explain and correct the failings on our beloved boats.
Our small team fulfils the brief, and we travel all over the South to bring such professional qualities to the inland waterways.
We are based on the Thames in Reading where we have our workshop. Our door is always open for anyone, whether you are in need of a couple of batteries or a full electrical rewire of your boat!

We're a small and growing outfit of 4, but size isn't everything. We all bring our own experience to the company giving us a broad scope to meet all your jobs needs!
With Simon being the Director of the company, we also have Chris as a secondary installer for Simon. With his BMET and list of accolades growing, you might get him on the phone!
